Curriculum design
Coherent from what is written to what is taught.
Looks likeBackward-designed units with the reasoning written into the teacher notes, so a new colleague can pick them up and teach them.
We work with schools and educators to diagnose the real problem, design a response that answers it, and build the habits that make the improvement last after we leave.
Who We Are
“Our teachers are good.”
“But every classroom feels different.”
Strong individual practice, no shared standard. Quality depends on which door a learner walks through.
“We have plenty of assessment.”
“But we’re not sure what to do with it.”
Data is collected and reported, but it rarely changes what happens in a lesson the following week.
“Everyone is busy.”
“But no one has time to think together.”
Meetings are full and calendars are packed, yet the professional conversation that would move practice never happens.
Schools rarely struggle because people lack commitment. They struggle because good intentions don’t reliably become consistent classroom practice. That gap is the whole of our work.
What We Do
We work alongside schools to strengthen the thinking, structures and professional judgement that make great teaching sustainable. Everything we build is designed to outlast our involvement.
01
Coherent from what is written to what is taught.
Looks likeBackward-designed units with the reasoning written into the teacher notes, so a new colleague can pick them up and teach them.
02
Cycles that end in changed practice, not changed intentions.
Looks likeClassroom observation, collaborative planning and evidence-informed feedback, run as a cycle rather than a one-off visit.
03
Assessment that informs the next lesson, not just the report.
Looks likeDiagnostic assessment opening every unit, ongoing checks replacing end-of-unit coverage, and moderation that builds shared expectations.
04
Structures that hold the work once we are no longer in the building.
Looks likeCo-constructed priorities, professional learning your own leaders can run, and decisions documented with the reasoning intact.
Our conviction
So we begin every engagement the same way. We observe before we advise. We name the need before we design the response. And we write down why - so the reasoning outlives the meeting it was made in.
The rule we hold ourselves toNo diagnosis, no prescription.
Our Process
The CoLearn Learning Cycle gives educators a shared way of noticing, interpreting, designing and refining practice, so every decision is informed by evidence and centred on learners. It has no end point: Refine returns you to Notice.

Stage 01 of 06
We attend closely to what learners do and say - before we explain it.

Classroom observation, learner work, listening without interpreting yet.
Lasting improvement happens when these thoughtful decisions become everyday professional habits.
Continuous - no end pointSelected Work
Every engagement tells a story about how schools improve. Here is one, end to end: what a school asked for, what we noticed beneath the request, what we designed together, and what changed in classrooms as a result.
School X · PYP International School
The school came to us for an action plan to close the gaps its IB self-study had identified. Observation showed the recommendations were not the problem - they were the evidence. An action plan would have been a well-organised answer to the wrong question.
We designed a four-stage professional learning architecture instead: whole-school workshops, collaborative planning, classroom coaching and evidence-informed feedback. The school achieved its strongest IB evaluation report to date, with the changes already visible in classrooms.
The CoLearn Insight: Schools rarely struggle because teachers lack commitment. Sustainable improvement begins when educators are given the conditions to understand, enact and own the practices they are expected to implement.

If you believe every learner deserves thoughtfully designed learning experiences and every teacher deserves meaningful professional growth, we would love to work alongside you.
Whatever you are building - curriculum, coaching, leadership or whole-school improvement - every partnership begins the same way: listening carefully, understanding your context and designing the path forward together.
Let's begin the conversation. There is nothing to prepare.
School and educator enquiries welcome. Or email hello@colearnhub.com.
Our Belief
We document every engagement with its reasoning intact. Clients see how decisions were made - not just the outcome.
